Subject: FNC Crosses The Line
Date: Tuesday, April 06, 2004 1:31 PM

Fox New Channel crossed the line, from reporting news to creating news.

When Jim Angle went out of his way to go to the White House and ask that the entire Richard Clarke “background” information he recorded be open to public record, Fox News crossed the line, and furthered their right-wing agenda.

The White House must have been falling down over themselves trying to sign off on that order ASAP. FNC facilitated the White House damage control over the Clarke revelations. Fair and balanced? Not with GW’s thumb on one end of the scale, that’s for sure!

FNC is so right wing, which is probably why I watch it, so I can see what the enemy is up to. If you want fair and balanced, you have to watch all three 24-hour news channels, then sift through the BS.

I would hate to be around the FNC offices this November, when your “boy” is thrown out on his ass. I’ll be voting for the first time, that is how adamant I am about getting this guy out of “our” house.

I remember how often FNC would go after Clinton. No such luck under Bush I guess? Bush is either too boring, or you are protecting him. I wonder which it is?

Does anyone remember President Bush before he was elected, talking how the U.S. should stay out of Nation Building????

Obviously just campaign rhetoric.

Haiti. Afghanistan. Iraq, with eyes on Iran and North Korea, and let’s not forget about the aging Castro in Cuba. This guy wants to conquer the world.

I’m sorry though; he won’t have time to do it. Come November 2004, we will have a new chief, and hopefully a new direction.

Now the Republicans are saying Clinton didn’t do enough on terror, like bombing terrorist camps. Back then, they said, he bombed the camps because of the Lewinsky scandal. Now, he bombed them with right intention, but didn’t do enough.

Who’s re-writing history here? These are the last days of the GOP, and I say for a long time. I’m 27 and will vote for the first time, voting this guy out of the White House. The Democrats will take back the country.

Subject: Fox Breaking News– What A joke!

Fox Breaking News– What a joke!!!

Fox has severely diminished the effectiveness of the “Breaking News” break. Now, everything gets the FOX NEWS ALERT, breaking news status. Whether President Bush is giving a speech, flying to Camp David, or just farting, FOX breaks in with their news alert.

Now, when I hear that news alert music (and ringing bell), I could care less. It’s probably something as stupid as a Bush photo op, or a dog being rescued. I love animals, but that is not breaking news.

You guys are so “breaking news” minded, that you see everything as breaking news. Get a grip!!

In the old days, when you heard that breaking news alert, you expected something big. Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf???

You have cheapened breaking news with petty issues and non-stories.

There must be a reason for all this “breaking news”. Either you cannot dig up real stories, or you are just lazy and like reporting about car chases.

A quick lesson. 911 was breaking news. War is breaking news. Anthrax was breaking news. Bush giving a speech for “faith based” charities IS NOT braking news!!

Fox is by far the worst in abusing the breaking news alert.

Hope you get well soon.

Subject: Stop With The Stupid Questions!
Date: Thursday, March 20, 2003 12:18 PM

Every time you go to your field guys in Iraq, we have to endure minutes of back and forth comments about how you cannot say anything the government doesn’t want, or how you don’t want to give any details to the enemy.

We know you can’t give those details out, so stop telling us, the viewers, that. Just answer the damn question the best way you can, and stop reminding us you are limited in your responses.

Below is a sample of the stupidity that is running rampant on your network:

Fox News Anchor: I understand you can’t get into specifics, but can you tell us generally, what the plan calls for when you reach your destination.

Field Reporter: Well, because of the restrictions the government has placed on us, I can’t get into details, but I can say that the next step will probably continue with the current pace, and will most likely remain at the current level. That is really all I can say.

Fox News Anchor: I don’t want you to give our enemies any help, but will you be stopping for lunch later on today.

Field Reporter: Again, I can’t get into specifics, as the government will send me to bed without supper if I say something they don’t want me to say.

Fox News Anchor: That was Joe Blow, reporting from somewhere in the Middle East. We all wish you the best of luck.

This is the level of talk we have to listen to. Here’s an idea, don’t say anything until you can report the truth!! Isn’t that a good idea?? Some blurry green shots of a digital camera will have to suffice for now. The war hasn’t started yet, so it’s OK to take a commercial as well.

Date: Sunday, March 23, 2003 5:07 PM

You guys have nerve, showing “censored” versions of these images of our dead soldiers and POWs. While you are making an antiseptic version available to us, Al-Jezeera is showing pictures of children with their heads blown off to our enemies.

Maybe this is why so many of those countries hate us. They are bombarded by images like this.

FOX and the US should start showing our citizens the truth, and how we are treated. It’s time to show us the graphic images. Maybe this will get public opinion and public outrage against our enemies. Our people are not outspoken like the Arabs are, because we never get to see the bad side of war, like they see everyday.

Believe me, if you showed our troops with those bullet holes in their heads, how could all those Hollywood celebrities cry about our President, as a war criminal.

You need to start getting tough, and show us the truth. Don’t be bullied by the Pentagon. Show us the damn truth!

Date: Sunday, March 23, 2003 5:11 PM

FNC’s “LIVE” logo, with waving flag, is tantamount to communism. Is your channel more patriotic than CNN? Is a person more patriotic when we watch your channel?

Just as we are tearing down the paintings of Saddam in Iraq, this waiving flag logo needs to be taken down. We don’t need to see a flag waive to know we support our country.

This flag seems to indicate endorsement by the American government. It’s bad enough Fox is already right leaning; they don’t need that flag to prove our point!

Subject: Suicide Bomber/Homicide Bomber
Date: Sunday, March 23, 2003 5:17 PM

Another example of how FOX jumps when the Bush administration tells them to.

For years, everyone was happy with the term “suicide bomber”. One day, George Bush must have woken up and decided that “homicide bomber”, for reasons that would make his stance easier no doubt, should be used instead.

Of course FOX was the first network, and I believe the only network to jump on that term, and still use it.

Has that created better terminology? Nope. Now, rather than reporting on a story with a suicide bomber, reporters now use both terms at times, with something like “officials say the suicide/homicide bomber was…”

This stupid change only makes reporters now only have to say one more additional word in their story. Some smart reporters only use the real term “suicide bomber”.

I love when a Fox anchor says homicide bomber, then the reporter in the field uses suicide bomber. Sometimes, the anchor then says suicide bomber the next time around.

You guys just look foolish. Is the Bush administration running FOX from behind the scenes?

Subject: William Bennett Goes Down! Where Is FOX NEWS?
Date: Tuesday, May 06, 2003 4:25 AM

It’s funny, how FOX NEWS (republican run) has been mum on the news of William Bennett’s (republican) outrageous gambling habit. Seems he preaches morals and family values, but is living it up in Sin City with the hard earned money his “followers”, or as I call them, sheep, send him.

I guess family values are mom, dad, brother and sister standing around the craps table, or sitting and hoping for a blackjack! This guy really makes me sick.

And you know what, it wouldn’t matter a bit if it was Joe Blow, but since this guy is out in the forefront of telling people how to live, how to be patriotic, how to vote… it makes it so satisfying seeing him go down.

Now, back to my original point. Where is fox news? If this were a democrat, say Tom Daschle, how many stores, commentaries and analysis would you have? FOX would not even break for a commercial during that “breaking news”.

Well, if Sean (or Allen) read this, or at least someone who works for them, I hope you remember that no one knows the right way and no man can lead the way. This religions, moral, virtuous man is a liar, a gambler, a cheat, and probably and adulterer. As an atheist, I’m proud I’m none of these things, and thus am much more moral than William Bennett.

Sorry Sean!!!

BTW I can’t wait to see you squirm in your pants when Hillary wins the WH in 2008!!!!!

Date: Tuesday, May 13, 2003 7:58 PM

Since when has the “cross” been religiously neutral? How many times have you seen people wearing the cross to signify their astrological sign? Sorry, your argument has no merit.

Just as the swastika is forever joined at the hip with Hitler, the symbol of the cross is always going to be associated with Jesus. Maybe you forgot that he was supposedly crucified on one? Jesus did not die for you on a square! That may be a reason why people wear the cross, to protest their faith in one religion, as opposed to another. Or are they just Jesus fans?

For the record, I’m an atheist. I don’t protest my “lack” of faith; they shouldn’t shout their support of it. Put aside all the fancy legalities… this woman wants to “encourage” people to one religion over others. Plain and simple.

Subject: Thanks For An Antiseptic War!
Date: Monday, May 19, 2003 6:59 AM

Thanks FOX (and all the other networks) for giving us an antiseptic war. I was surprised that war could be carried out not killing one enemy soldier. Oh, we did kill enemy soldiers? Could have fooled me! FOX was too busy showing us Saddam’s bathroom to actually show us some combat-related war scenes. I did not see one enemy casualty on your channel. What is war without casualties?

Al Jazeera on the other hand often showed what “real” war was like.

In the future, don’t waste our time with the gold faucets Saddam used in his bathroom; just give us the real war, uncensored. That would be appreciated. Of course, the government’s great “idea” of embedding journalists with the troops only served to censor any real news story, so it’s not all FOX’s fault– but most of it is.

I just woke up to hear Lauren Green say that Iraq is a large country. This seems to be something Republicans want people to think. NEWSFLASH- IRAQ IS NOT A LARGE COUNTRY!!! Why do you people insist on saying this? You sound so stupid! Here is the hard truth:

Iraq is 168,753 square miles, while Texas is 261,797 square miles. As you can see, Iraq is smaller than Texas, and a bit larger than California. Iraq is NOT a large country. China is a large country; Iraq would be a large state within the US.

Forget about the fact that Bush lied to us, he’s now saying we’ll find WMD “in time.” Oh, is that the same time that the UN wanted? Wow, Bush NOW feels time is necessary to find WMD. If he was for time last fall, we may have proved that Iraq DOES NOT have WMD right now.

With this poor economy, and a war based on lies, the Republicans AND FOX News Channel, are in for a tough realization in the next 24 months.

And wait until 2008!!! Oh my god! Since the Vice President won’t be running (health concerns are only a minor factor in that determination), the Republicans have nobody else to put up that can even come close to Hillary!!

I can’t wait to see all the long faces at FOX in 2008. I will enjoy waking up each morning, AGAIN, to watch FOX and Friends, like I did before they were a political show.

By the way, I’m still waiting for your in-depth report on Bill Bennett’s gambling and morality problem. I won’t hold my breath too long though.

Subject: Rioting In Michigan: Am I Racist?
Date: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 4:14 PM

When I heard about the riots in Benton Harbor, MI, before I knew anything about the case, I knew that this case involved African Americans. Am I racist?

If the police were motivated by race, then those officers should be fired and stand trial for any crimes in which they committed.

Why do African Americans riot at the first site of a problem, perceived or real? I mean, white people have had *many* things to riot over, yet, I don’t remember hearing any news about the Kennedy riots of ’63 (or ’68 for that matter), but I remember the MLK riots. Why is this so?

If African Americans would act more civil, they may not get the bad wrap they sometimes get.

There is no room for racism in this country, but two must play the game. Black Americans must learn to act more American.

I’m just waiting for Jesse Jackson to arrive at the airport.

I realize that many news anchors won’t touch the racial issue of this story, and if they do, it will be a “correct” version, but these riots have got to stop. If this was a case of racism, the only people who are hurt are the African Americans– twice. Once when the man was killed and now after rioting and destroying their already poor community. Who wants to build a business in a community that will destroy it at the first signs of adversity? No respectable business would want to take that risk.

I watching Hannity and Colmes tonight, and when FOX went to commercial, I saw a FOX promo that showed some binary numbers running in the background across the screen. In this line of binary numbers of 0′s and 1′s was a 2!!! Yes, a number 2!! There is no 2 in the binary system, only 0′s and 1′s.

Please correct this! It really bugs me. Maybe it was an errant finger that hit that 2, but it doesn’t belong there!

Date: Wednesday, August 08, 2001 7:26 PM

O’Reilly, part of the “working people” club? Did that happen before or after your first million?

I love your show Bill, and you are the best host on TV, but you are not part of the working class, no matter how hard you try to convince us. Maybe 10 years ago you were, but not now.

The “working people” have to get up every day and go to work. They live pay check to pay check. You however, don’t have to work every day if you don’t want to. The working person has a few thousand in their bank account, if that. You have a few million. You can take 6 months off and go to India to “find yourself”. The worker could never afford such earthly travel. You can retire tomorrow. The working person cannot.

Bill, it’s OK to be a millionaire. It’s OK to have money. Don’t feel guilty.

Keep up the good work, but cut out that “working people” promo fox is running. It just isn’t so!

I’ve been a fan since the old days of “The O’Reilly Report”, so I know what I’m talking about.

Subject: Recent Black On White aggression
Date: Thursday, March 02, 2000 1:42 PM

In this culture, I must first say I’m not a racist person. I find that once white people remark on black crime, they are tagged racists in today’s environment.

Just this week, two incidents of crimes of Black on White have been committed– though no uproar is made when this seems to happen, only when a white person commits a crime against a Black person.

In PA shooting yesterday, a black man shot 5 white men. The man was yelling racially charge remarks, such as “White Trash”. This truly is racism.

The Diallo verdict had nothing to do with racism, as much as Sharpton and all the “so-called” black leaders want this country to think.

What if a White man had walked into McDonalds, and started shouting racial epithets at black customers, and only shot black people. There might be riots in the streets. How fast do you think Sharpton would be marching in the streets?

A 6-year-old black child in Michigan shoots a white child. Again, if this was the other way around, Al Sharpton would have jumped on the band wagon and would have implied that parents racist view have clogged the minds of their children.

What Sharpton should do is condemn the behavior of the Mother, Father, and Uncle and anyone involved in that broken home. Guns, drugs, and illegal activity surrounded that young boy. You will never see Sharpton or the “black crusade” speak out against their own, even when it deserves attention. That is racism.

Let me tell you why Al Sharpton is racist. He’ll come to the defense of any black man, for any reason. He wouldn’t extend his hand to a white man who’s lying on the ground. If this country wants to stop racism, then black people must take up the cause themselves, and remove these black “leaders” who are not leading them to equality, but leading them down a road of revenge, resentment and will forever do no good for the white/black relationship in this country.

They talk about slavery. Yes, what can we do to change the fact that they were once slaves? Nothing. It was wrong. But bringing up the past will never solve the current problem with racism in America.

There IS something wrong in this country, but it must be dealt without injecting racism at every point, like so many black leaders do. When Al Sharpton states his feelings, he is said to be a black crusader, seeking for rights of all blacks. But when David Duke states his feelings, he’s just a racist who hates everyone but white folk.

There needs to be a change.

The shooting yesterday night, when the Police shot and killed a black suspect after he ran from police and resisted arrest. You won’t hear the last of this from Sharpton and his protesters. Forget the fact that this guy was running from the police, that he resisted arrest, that he was a felon with an extensive criminal history. This was a criminal who was running for a reason.

You cannot blame the police for the actions of this drug dealer.

If the justice system worked the right way, this man would have been in prison where he belonged. Not out on the streets selling poison to our youth, and steeling from working people. He didn’t deserve to die, but when you run and struggle with the police, something bad is bound to happen, just like in the Diallo case. Rest assured, this man would have shot the police had he been given the chance.

The police are here to protect us all. When you run from the police, that sure is a signal that you are trying to hide something. What would an innocent man have to hide? And the man did have something to hide, some heroin.

Sharpton should spend more time lecturing in his black community rather than telling whites we are racists. Blacks make up about 13% of the US population but consist of approximately 43% of the US prison population. When it comes to ratio, blacks simply are committing more crimes than whites, but this fact is never stated. They say whites commit more crime. Well, of course whites do, because there are far more whites. But when you break down crime within the black and white community, an overwhelming ratio of more blacks commit crime.

But they will say this is because tougher laws on crack as opposed to cocaine for white people. Last time I checked crack is a drug, and if caught with it, you should pay the price.

Sorry to rant, but I have much to say, and probably didn’t get 50% of it down.

Subject: Less Spanking– More Violence/Crime
Date: Monday, July 10, 2000 8:26 PM

A child who knows no consequence grows up to be an adult who has no regard for consequence.

Spanking not only consists of physical punishment, but emotional punishment as well. A child in the wrong should be made to feel ashamed for what he/she has done. Spanking accomplishes this. Hopefully, they will remember this experience as a deterrent. Whatever happened to learning from your mistakes?

With no regard for human life, let alone rules, it’s no surprise that the “time out” generation is so violent. With school shooting after another, it’s apparent that spanking to correct improper behavior is necessary and needed. If you poled, I’m sure you’d find that each, or at least the majority of assailants in school shootings were never spanked by either parent. They were set-aside in a “time out”, only to take a break and continue with their improper behavior forthwith.

My sister and I skipped school once in grade school. My Mother found out and we got “the belt”. I thought about what I did for a long time after that. That wasn’t abuse, but an offering of consequence for my action. I’m a better person for it.
