Can You digg It?
Written by Bryan Los on March 22nd, 2006 @ 7:06 PMI’ve heard of digg.com before, but never actually visited the site until a couple days ago. I knew it was a great place to go to find interesting stories for tech-related topics, but since I had my news sites bookmarked, I figured I had enough of an information base to work with.

With digg though, users become the editors and choose what stories appear on the home page. They simply choose to “digg” the stories they feel should be read by others. Over time, you get a great selection of stories from all genres, from technology to software to science.
So after visiting and finding some good stories, I decided to add a story of mine about my Pac-Man arcade machine, and how I restored it. With the thousands of other stories on digg, I figured it would just fade into the background and get a few hits. Boy, was I wrong.
As of the time of this article, I have over 600 diggs and dozens of comments in just over 24 hours. I even made it on the home page. That’s about 600 more than I figured I would get. I’m a new fan!
See what people are digging right now!

Reddit is a much better site, although your pac-man post didn’t do as well there: http://reddit.com/info?id=3f1f

Better than digg? Nah.
