As the subject of this article reads, 2006 is the year of the remaster. I will try to get all the CDs I currently own in remastered format. I’m going to start with the essentials, and work my way down the line. The titles listed below are the first batch of the 2006 remasters.

The Lennon CDs were purchased earlier this month, all others were purchased today from Amazon.com. I know, I may be a bit crazy, but I need to have the best sounding music for these artists. I only wish The Beatles catalog was remastered, that would have been first on my list.

My goal is 2 CDs per week and one box set per month. That should get me a large portion of the material. Keep in mind I need to replace over 1000 CDs, so this will take some time. I will be selling off the original CDs as I replace them, probably in lots of 10 or more, or maybe just by artist. Who knows.
