Today I quietly ventured out of my seclusion to secure a copy of the long over-due DVD release of Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged. The DVD is being released 14 years after it was recorded live in New York. Click here to read all about it.

In the end, I did find a copy at FYE, but my detour at Circuit City landed me another DVD release I wanted– HELP! The Beatles HELP! (1965) movie has been released before, but this time it gets a major upgrade by way of audio/video remastering. To say I’m excited to get to watch both of these today goes without saying. I’m ecstatic!

Since Nirvana and The Beatles are my one-two punch of music godliness, I don’t think anything else could bother me today, not even that dreaded Mr. Sa. He keeps looking for his rent money, but I don’t seem to have it anymore.

Oh, and the title of this article… this is my second Black Friday, although I went out way late in the day. All that was left was coffee cups and trash outside the stores and inside, remnants of the carnage that took place just hours before.
