500 Ways To Sound Incredibly Stupid

June 21st, 2006 Bryan Los No comments

More Fun Than Bush

So I’m watching Fox News Channel tonight, and I see the well used “breaking news” logo. Five-hundred WMDs found in Iraq. Ok, sounds intriguing. I’d like to learn more.

I turn on Hannity & Colmes and I see Hannity creaming in his pants. Wow, I think to myself, this must be good news for the republicans. Then I see Sen. Rick Santorum (R) with some other guy, extolling the significance of this “great” WMD find, holding some sort of document. Then I think to myself, why is this jerk running around with classified info, and why isn’t the president telling me this? I start to get mistrustful of the old Fair & Balanced network.

My suspicions came to fruition. This is pure bullshit.

Breaking News! Zarqawi Dead! (Yay!)

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, also known as shit-head, has been killed by a U.S. air strike. This may be a good day after all!

Precision Air Strike

Along with this beautiful kill, his spiritual leader, Sheik Abd-Al-Rahman was also with him (how nice), and is also DEAD! This guy is the scum of the Earth. This guy is lower than ant piss. This guy deserves to be tortured, but I’ll settle for a smart bomb dropped on his head. Even his sister said he got what he deserved!

No, It’s Not Worth It

June 2nd, 2006 Bryan Los No comments

Having recently watched the Pentagon’s official video release of the camera that supposedly captured the 9/11 attack, I concluded that my suspicions about a cover-up of sorts were correct. What I saw in that video, along with pictures taken that day, some only several minutes after the attack, were not a very compelling argument for the government’s story.

I decided to put together a photo gallery of all the close-up shots I could find, along with official pictures released by the government. I found about 20 or so very high quality pictures. I also have 12 hours of footage I recorded off TV on 9/11/01, and I watched that as well.

Stupid Is, As Stupid Does

Morons

After waking up and checking the news at Yahoo! and reading about another Iraq mosque bloodbath, I’ve come to a conclusion– bulldoze all mosques in Iraq, then around the world.

Sitting back and thinking, I’ve also come to the realization that Islam is stupid. Christianity is stupid. Catholicism is stupid. Judaism is stupid. Buddhism is stupid. Scientology is even stupider. And George W Bush is probably the king of stupid. If I missed a religion, don’t worry, you too are stupid!

Religion and republicans are the blight of this world, and a religious republican is the cause of all that is stupid going on today in the world. But Tom Cruise helps; cause not only is he stupid, he’s silly.

Ring Around Your Collar

Olympic Rings

Bryant Gumbel hung himself out to dry when he recently made comments about this year’s Winter Olympics, and the astonishingly apparent fact that everyone there is white.

Here is the complete text which contain the comments:

Finally, tonight, the Winter Games. Count me among those who don’t care about them and won’t watch them. Because they’re so trying. Like, try not to be incredulous when someone attempts to link these games to those of the ancient Greeks who never heard of skating or skiing. So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention. Try not to point out that something’s not really a sport if a pseudo-athlete waits in what’s called a kiss-and-cry area, while some panel of subjective judges decides who won. So if only to hasten the arrival of the day they’re done, when we can move on to March Madness, for God’s sake, let the games begin.

Death Doesn’t Become You

February 10th, 2006 Bryan Los 1 comment

Coretta Scott King

With some on the left turning the church funeral service for Coretta Scott King into a Bush-bashing, anti-war fest, you would have thought you were watching the Democratic National Convention.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time

It’s one thing to disagree with Bush. I do. But you don’t bring your agenda to a funeral, I don’t care how much Coretta Scott King was against the Bush policies. The service is to remember the deceased, not rag on the living, namely Bush and his administration.

I thought it was petty, childish, and I would have liked to see Bush make a comment or two to the people in attendance that they didn’t want to hear. If they’re going after you, you can get a jab or two in there as well.

Denmark Must Be Blown Up

February 3rd, 2006 Bryan Los No comments

Just when I start sticking up for Hamas and the Palestinian people, they go ahead and do something stupid. Fine, make me look stupid.

“Whoever defames our prophet should be executed,” said Ismail Hassan, a tailor who marched in the pouring rain with hundreds of other Muslims in the West Bank city of Ramallah. “Bin Laden our beloved, Denmark must be blown up,” the protesters chanted.

All this hub-bub is over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, first published in a Danish newspaper in September, one of which depicted the prophet wearing a turban shaped as a bomb.

Some European newspapers reprinted the caricatures this week, prompting protests Friday in Britain, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Palestinian areas. In Sudan, some even urged al-Qaida terrorists to target Denmark.

The Supreme Right

January 18th, 2006 Bryan Los No comments

Ban-Hammer

After more than a decade of legal battles over assisted suicide, a Supreme Court ruling affirming that states have the authority to regulate medical treatment of the terminally ill may help turn an Oregon law into a national model.

At least six other states have proposed, or are considering, some form of an assisted suicide law, with bills currently in the legislatures of California and Vermont.

The Shot Heard ‘Round The World

The 6-3 ruling Tuesday was considered a rebuke to the Bush administration and former Attorney General John Ashcroft. The court said they improperly threatened to use a federal drug law against Oregon doctors who prescribe lethal doses of medicine to dying patients who request it.

Oh Mine Faux Pas

January 4th, 2006 Bryan Los No comments

The latest American tragedy, the West Virginia mining disaster, is more of an American media tragedy. Countless media outlets went live with reports of 12 survivors. They ran and ran with this until it was found out that only 1 survived, and 12 were dead.

There is not much to say except this, the media got it wrong. When you don’t check your facts and get corroboration, only bad things are bound to happen. At least in election year 2000, when the media screwed up the Presidential election results, at least that only affected a couple of jerks. This snafu affected the lives of dozens of people who were directly involved with the situation.

Museum Exhibits A Creationist Viewpoint

Laughing Dinosaur

I don’t know if I should file this article under Religion or Stupidity, but certainly not Science. The previous sentence will give you a good idea where I’m going with this one, so please, bare with me.

Before I continue, I would just like to say that I am an atheist, but I respect a person’s right to worship and believe in any god they see fit. Religion, the bible, and faith can help one lead a very happy and productive life. Having said that, religion has no place in science. You will read why in the next few moments.

The Eureka Springs, Arkansas Museum of Earth History is attracting some attention. The museum opened in April and is quite different from most museums you may visit. This museum utilizes the bible, rather than science for fact, essentially burning and throwing out all data and information we have gathered over the last several hundred years.
