Obama finally got something accomplished– it only took a year and control of all branches of government.
Living in Massachusetts, we already have a form of universal healthcare, so I’m really not excited either way. However, I do love watching and listening to all the right-wing nuts who are calling for repeal, etc. They keep telling me this isn’t what the people wanted. Hello? The people voted Republicans out of office just for this reason. Change! If you listen to some of these whackos, you’d think the apocalypse is near.
Obama won. The Democrats (finally) won. Get over it! You want change, put a Republican back in the White House.

I can honestly say that George W. Bush seems like a statesman when compared to Sarah Palin. Just when I think this woman has reached the lowest point on the “dumb scale,” she puts her head down and burrows far deeper. Not too many people can look like an idiot multiple times, within days. But she can.
I have never seen a public figure with such thin skin. It seems it doesn’t matter how petty or ridiculous a joke or jab may be thrown at her, still she gets her panties in a ball. Whether it’s David Letterman, the “elite” media, the Obama Administration, or now Family Guy, does she really think she can win these silly battles? What’s more, who in their right mind would want to fight them?
At one point it may have worked to play the victim to the big, bad, elite media. Now she just sounds like a real bitch. She has cried wolf a dozen too many times, and now she just serves as fodder for the news media. But I guess this is to be expected. After all, Sarah couldn’t handle the rough and tough Alaska media, so how in the hell are we to think she is capable of functioning in the national spotlight?

There was a certain e-mail (SPAM) going around speaking ill of Obama and his presidency. They did a comparison of the things Obama did and a “what if” if GW did the same. I couldn’t help but responding to each claim. Personally, I think Obama has done nothing in a year, but it’s a better nothing than GW did in eight.
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

Muammar Gaddafi gave a speech to the United Nations General Assembly yesterday. Complete moron. The guy rambled on for over 90 minutes on familiar topics– the evil West and the more evil Jews. He even touched on the JFK conspiracy to boot.
Anyway, I’m not writing because I care about him or what he said, I’m writing because each time I saw his name, either in print or on TV, it was spelled differently. I know the news business is cut-throat, but can they get some people on a conference call and maybe agree on the guy’s name? Even bin Laden didn’t have to go through this and he’s a much bigger ass-hole.
So here are some of the different ways this guy’s name was spelled. Also, I’m only talking about the last name, let’s not even worry about the first name. That’s a bag of hurt.
Is it Gadhafi (AP), or Qaddafi (Fox News), or Gaddafi (Reuters), or Kadafi (LA Times), or Khadafy (New York Post)? Who knows, and who really cares.
Tuesday night, Bill Maher and Ann Coulter appeared on stage together at the Wang Theatre in Boston. Aside from some sound problems, a few hecklers, and a moderator who couldn’t reign in the guests (or audience) during the Q&A session, it was a great show.
In The Beginning
The theatre doors opened up about 7:35 PM EST, and we promptly took our seats. The Wang Theatre is a very nice building, spacious with great views of the stage throughout the theatre seating. We were sitting in the orchestra (center) section, row W; a direct and center line of site with the stage. There were two large video screens on either side of the stage for additional viewing.
The atmosphere was great and the theatre filled up to (it looked like) capacity. After the president and CEO of the Citi Performing Arts Center came out and gave a brief speech, the producer of the show came out and spoke a little about Ann Coulter and Bill Maher. Once his speech and a few canned jokes were finished, the show began.

One word.. WOW! I heard some commotion about a comic being published making fun of President Barack Obama. It wasn’t until tonight that I saw the comic. Wow!
Either Rupert Murdoch has got one GIANT set of balls or he has complete morons working for him at the New York Post– the paper owned by News Corp, a company for which Rupert is a major shareholder– and the paper that published the aforementioned comic. The execs at Fox News Channel must even be sitting back and scratching their heads, wondering how this one got out.

I missed the debate Tuesday night as I had a 5 hour Advanced C++ class to attend, but I did manage to watch a streaming video of some of it– just enough to hear John “My Friends” McCain. I ended up watching the pundants speak after the debate, then watched some of the replay.
It wasn’t long before I realized that McCain’s campaign is as thriving as Elvis’ pulse. These findings were later confirmed when every major post-debate poll showed that Obama in fact won the debate.
This was really no surprise to me as McCain has been probably the most boring, no balls, candidate I’ve seen in quite some time. The first thing I thought was that I wanted to watch “Fox & Friends” in the morning so I could see how Fox would spin this, and see if they would actually submit to sanity, and agree that Obama won. Boy, was I wrong.

The House belongs to the Democrats. The Senate belongs to the Democrats. Don Rumsfeld has resigned. What more could happen to make me feel any better than this?
This election was a referendum on Iraq, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. And since Iraq is part of the “War On Terror,” and terror is the only thing George Bush has, this means the people overwhelmingly said they DO NOT support his plan, policy or leadership.
Let me come down from my high… then I’ll be able to actually express my true feelings. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Pwnt! Well, another of the “good reasons” we went to war with Iraq has proved a myth– along with all the others, like WMD and Saddam’s nuclear ambitions. I wonder if Bush and Cheney still hold these “truths” self-evident? Morons!
In a report released today (wow another Friday release, go figure) by the Senate, Saddam Hussein regarded al-Qaida as a threat rather than a possible ally, contradicting assertions President Bush and Dick Cheney had used to build support for the war in Iraq.
