Good, Now Brett Can Go Away

January 24th, 2010 Bryan Los No comments

I’m thrilled that Brett Favre’s season is over. Nothing against The Vikings, I just hate this guy. I’d probably root against the Patriots if Favre was at the helm. Anyway, let me guess… he’s gonna keep the option of retirement on the table until the start of training camp. At that time, he’ll pull the trigger and call it quits. He’ll say his body this, and his desire that, and he just can’t compete at such a high level. Then training camp will end, and it will be just like magic. He’ll be a brand new Brett Favre, ready to play. Funny how that works.

Congrats Lakers!

June 14th, 2009 Bryan Los No comments

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 99 to 86, winning the NBA Finals four games to one. It is the Lakers 15th title overall, Phil Jackson’s 10th, and Kobe’s 4th. Kobe is still the best player in the NBA, hands down. I look for the Lakers to go back-to-back, and fight for a three-peat.

I had the great privilege of seeing Kobe perform in Boston about seven years ago, and he’s matured into one of the greatest players to ever take the court. I’m a big MJ fan, but Kobe has carried the torch with excellence since Jordan retired.

This Bird Has Flown

February 2nd, 2009 Bryan Los No comments

I was hoping to post about the winning efforts of the Arizona Cardinals, but alas, it wasn’t to be. However, even though they lost, I still wanted to see that great logo of theirs.

If you are expecting to read some of the game’s highlights, or what I thought about the game… sorry. I just wanted to see that beautiful logo on my site.

Better luck next year!!!

Pats Possibly *Pwn* Perfect?

November 11th, 2007 Bryan Los No comments

19and0.gif

It’s the bye-week. The Patriots are 9-0. They clearly are the best team in the NFL this year, and definitely the last decade. But can they do something so special that will forever allow them to shout a collective “F-U” to the rest of the league and sports world? I think so.

These aren’t your daddies Patsies. This team is dedicated to winning and proving to the rest of the NFL that “spygate,” or whatever you want to call it, was so meaningless in the grand scheme of things, that just the mere mention of it only provides to solidify their intentions to roll over every team they play.

Pats Turn The Lights Out…

Pats Turn The Lights Out...

You want to know the bottom line? The Patriots won again. Period.

So after the game, one which plenty mistakes were made on both sides, and one in which one team capitalized just a little bit more on those mistakes, I was shocked to see the demeanor of LaDainian Tomlinson. After the game, Tomlinson yelled and pointed at a Patriots player, upset that some Patriots were dancing on the Chargers logo at midfield after they had silenced the crowd.

“I would never react in that way. I was very upset,” Tomlinson said. “When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach.”

Bryan’s ‘Hard’ Loss

New England Patriots

It’s hard.

Football is my favorite sport. I’ve been a New England Patriots fan as long as I could utter syllables into prophetic lines of poetry and meaning. Here’s a line for you; this really sucks!

If you have been watching the Patriots play for the last 5 years, you’ll know that this divisional game against the Denver Broncos was so unlike the Patriots style, I wonder if aliens hadn’t shoved some things up all their asses.

Everything the Patriots have stood for during that time was somehow forgotten, and something quite rancid oozed out onto the field last night. That was not New England football.

Terrell Owens: A Jerk, You Think?

August 11th, 2005 Bryan Los No comments

Terrell Owens

The NFL football season is fast approaching. Fans are eagerly awaiting Kickoff 2005. The players are drowning in anticipation. Then there’s Terrell Owens.

Owens, upset that the Philadelphia Eagles won’t re-negotiate his recently negotiated contract, is pulling every stunt to try to get the Eagles to give in. He threatened not to show up to training camp. Then, when he did show up to camp, he conveniently injured his groin, and has been sitting out the last several practices.

Squeeze The Juice Out Of The MLB

August 6th, 2005 Bryan Los No comments

With the latest reports of Rafael Palmeiro testing positive for banned substances (steroids), I wasn’t surprised.

Am I surprised that smoking kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, yet more people start smoking? No. And I’m not surprised major league players continue to destroy themselves, and the game of baseball by cheating.

I’m also not surprised to hear Palmeiro make the claim that so many other MLB notables have made — “I didn’t knowingly take steroids.” That excuse and $40.00 might buy you a ticket to see this cheater take the field.
